February Half Term Fun at Leeds Castle
Families can experience a ‘Right Royal’ February half term at Leeds Castle from 14th until 22nd February 2026. The Castle is opening its doors and inviting families to enjoy an enchanting week of activities as they dive into the fascinating world of a Royal ball, all included in your standard admission ticket.
Over the half term break, guests will learn the essential skills and processes that defined Royal existence in Medieval times. Families can meet characters such as Lord Hugo, Groom of the Stool to King Edward I and Lady Mary, Queen Eleanor of Castile’s chief Lady in Waiting. Guests will learn to walk with the poise of true royalty, dine like royalty, choose their own royal persona, and even practice courtly dances and etiquette while discovering the array of characters that make up the royal court, from peasants to noble knights and everything in between.
The experience finishes with a special photo opportunity to capture the day’s adventure. Alongside the themed activity, visitors can explore the castle’s wider attractions throughout the day — including the famous maze, multiple playgrounds, scenic woodland walks and daily falconry displays — making it a full and fun family day out in the historic Kent estate.
For those who would like to extend their visit, Leeds Castle offers a selection of accommodation, from lodges and cottages to a charming bed and breakfast. To add to the experience, overnight stays also include exclusive access to the captivating grounds once the gates have been closed to day visitors.
Stay in the Castle’s new family accommodation, Knights’ Retreat, which offers eight lodges inspired by medieval myth, with space for up to five people per lodge, nestled within the castle’s 500-acre estate.
For group getaways, Battel Hall offers an elegant manor house stay for up to 14 people, while Maiden’s Tower is ideal for families and history lovers alike, combining Tudor charm with modern comfort. It has a rich history and was allegedly used by Katherine of Aragon’s Maid of Honour during her wedding to King Henry VIII.
Alternatively, Leeds Castle’s six luxury historic holiday cottages are located across its stunning estate, surrounded by wonderful woodland scenery. Hosting between two and 12 people, Weir Cottage, Battel Cottage and Keeper’s House are all pet friendly, so the whole family can come along. The properties offer all the necessities for a self-catering stay as well as stunning views across the Kent countryside.
