123COMPARE.ME has launched WPM Hotel Price Check, a monthly report that shows hotels and hotel groups exactly how their own direct rates compare against OTAs and metasearch platforms, and whether that behaviour reflects a broader market trend or a situation specific to their property.
The report is built around the Beat, Meet, and Lose (BML) KPI, which measures how often a hotel's direct channel offers a lower price than online intermediaries (Beat), the same price (Meet), or a higher price (Lose). Each hotel or group receives their own BML snapshot, broken down by OTA, by sponsored listings, and by hotel group size, and benchmarked against the global market average, so they can see precisely where their direct rate stands in the market.
The tool also distinguishes between organic search results and OTA-sponsored listings, where price disparity can directly erode the return on advertising investment. Hotels can identify which intermediaries most frequently undercut their direct rate, and compare their BML performance against large chains, mid-sized groups, and independent properties.
Hotel Price Check is available free of charge for three months. Each month, hotels receive an updated BML snapshot for their own property or portfolio, alongside a comparison against the global benchmark.
